We believe in the principles of non-violence. We have established guidelines for our activities that are in keeping with our principles of non-violence - these principles include the absence of all kinds of weapons. Libertarians, like everyone else, are welcome to attend and participate in all AAPJ's activities given the understanding that our guidelines will be respected.
These principles of non-violence apply to all people, regardless of their affiliation (individuals, governmental bodies, or otherwise). So to say that we like "government thugs with guns and UN thugs with guns" would be inaccurate. AAPJ does not believe in the use of violence at all, whether by individuals, groups, states, nations, or others.
Mike Renzulli - we embrace the participation of all people at AAPJ events, but do request that participants understand and agree to abide by our event guidelines. What people do on their own time in their own homes is their business.
FYI - here are the AAPJ event guidelines as agreed to by the General Assembly of AAPJ. We will not initiate violence against any living thing or against property. We will not bring "illegal drugs" or alcohol. We will carry no weapons. We recognize that people of color, gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgender people are at a much greater risk of police harassment, abuse, and violence. We strongly discourage tactics that will increase this risk.
